Flightcraft Maintenance Services has been working with TTF Aerospace in developing the Armor-X Reinforced Cockpit Door for the HS-748 & F-28, This door is based on the same principle that was used in the development of the Armor-X Door in the Dash-8 and ATR Aircraft. FMS will be supplying the kits and installation services on all the aircraft.

FMS has recently completed an Avionics upgrade on an HS-748 for Horizon Airlines in Australia. The upgrade included TCAS II, EGPWS, IFR GPS, Weather Radar, FDR & CVR. The new Honeywell Mark VI EGPWS system was used which also included a new Multi Function Display. This EGPWS installation is the first on this A/C type, and will be available to all operators. The Avionics retrofit was approved as a Canadian STC and is the first of several aircraft that will be completed for Horizon Airlines.
